This is a feeling I know far too well.
A couple of days after arriving in Melbourne I got the flu. Or I think it was the flu, but being in Bali it could have been Dengue fever which would have sounded far more exotic.
When I say ‘Bali’, what do you think of? Rice fields, temples, ‘Eat, Pray, Love’ and of course, the yogi-meditation hippie types!
So I’m a little late to the party, we’re already 13 days into 2019, but better late than never right?
Right now I’m in Chiang Mai Thailand. Whilst it was tempting to stay back home in the UK for New Year’s Eve, I knew 2019 needed to start in a new place, with a brand new perspective.
Do you ever find yourself in a city that just seems to connect to your soul more than others? That make you feel at home? Budapest is one of those for me and I can’t wait to go back some day.
I’m going backpacking, what do I need to take??
Sure there are the basics like a sturdy backpack, clothes and toiletries. But, whether you’re interrailing around Europe or off a gap year adventure, there are a few travel hack items that you’ll be so glad you packed!
Travelling is one of the beauties of life, getting to experience exciting new foods and cultures. However, if you’re vegan travel can seem a little tricky; think navigating language barriers and cultural differences! You could end up ordering the steak by accident or living on salad.
It doesn’t have to be like this though! With a little thought and planning, you can happily eat your way around the world.
Last summer I was still in university but had 3 whole months of downtime before the dissertation began! Backpacking was the plan, but I knew I didn’t have the funds saved up for a long trip.
