    On Sunday I celebrated 1 year since officially becoming a vegan, my veganniversary if you will! Whilst I’d been pretty much plant-based since the start of 2017, an upcoming trip to New York with the university as a gluten-free newbie vegan would have been hella complicated. Looking back, with a year of experience under my belt, it totally would have been possible to navigate! But, hindsight is a beautiful thing, and back to the matter at hand, stepping off the plane back at Heathrow airport on February 4th, this vegan journey took its first steps! Read more

    Finding Fabulous Vegan Food: Berlin

    This past summer I was fortunate enough to spend a week in Berlin. Well, I fell head over heels in love with the city! From the rich history of the wall and Brandenburg Gate to the up and coming vibrant neighbourhood of Kreuzberg, Berlin really has it all.

    And of course, Berlin is a vegan paradise! It’s obvious why Happy Cow listed it as one of their top vegan cities in 2017. Whilst in a week it wasn’t possible to try every eatery, I definitely made a good attempt. What’s more, for a capital city in Western Europe, Berlin was surprisingly inexpensive! Read more

    Top 5 Reasons to Travel Solo as a Female!

    When I first told my family that I was going backpacking around Europe for the summer on my own they were worried. This is a natural reaction from parents and who loves you and want you to be safe. The once in a blue moon horror stories on the news of solo travellers going missing, and picturing their little girl in a hostel full of strangers wasn’t so comforting. At the same time, they knew it was going to be an incredible experience, a much greater adventure than staying in our small English town. It was perfectly acceptable for a guy to go off and travel the world by themselves, but not for us girls? Being a bit stubborn, and fuelled with the inspiration and advice of my fellow travel bloggers, I headed to the airport.
