Hi, I’m Hannah, a 25-year-old digital nomad from the UK. It’s been a long old road so far, overcoming health challenges, anxiety, and trying the figure what the heck to do with my life. The internet has helped me discover that there are so many ways to make life an incredible adventure and that it’s totally possible to live out your craziest of dreams.
A couple of years ago I did a little trial run, backpacking through Europe and working online. It was an eye-opening experience and steep learning curve to say the least. The travel bug got me bad, and I knew the digital nomad life was something to experience after graduating and entering the ‘real world’.
Being a Digital Nomad
Before graduating from college last year I just knew, deep in my soul that I wanted to experience the digital nomad lifestyle and travel the world!
If you’re like “a digital what now!?”…basically, a digital nomad is someone who works remotely. I work freelance for a digital marketing agency and create content.
Whilst it’s sometimes true, sadly we’re not all typing away on a white sand beach sipping mojitos. Many people I’ve met so far on this journey still work for companies full-time, and often the time-difference means early mornings or burning the midnight oil. But, let’s face it, this lifestyle is pretty awesome, and one I’m truly grateful to be experiencing.
So, if the remote life tickles your fancy, I hope this blog helps you navigate your own path and adventure.
And you survive travelling as a gluten-free vegan?!?
An important part of travel for most people is experiencing new and exciting foods. Being vegan (and gluten intolerant in my case) leads many people to assume it’s hard to find great food whilst travelling. It’s actually so much fun discovering local vegan/gluten-free friendly places and way easier that you’d think (And I’m on a mission to prove it!).
So, thank you for joining me in this little corner of the internet! Keep an eye out for posts of all things digital nomad, travel, veganism and living your best life!
